Project Manager

Location: Remote/Hybrid (Occasional travel for live events or meetings)

Role Summary:

As Project Manager at Poolroof Music, you will oversee the end-to-end execution of artist projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance, and high-quality outcomes. You will coordinate with artists, internal teams, and external contractors to bring creative visions to life while maintaining Poolroof’s commitment to transparency and artist ownership.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Manage multiple artist projects, including EPs, albums, and promotional campaigns, adhering to Poolroof's project workflow: Pre-Production → Studio Tracking → Mixing → Mastering → Publishing → Marketing → Post-Release Evaluation.

  • Ensure each project phase meets deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.

Artist Collaboration:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for assigned artists, fostering trust and clear communication.

  • Translate artist visions into actionable project plans with defined timelines and deliverables.

Team Coordination:

  • Work closely with internal teams (e.g., Marketing, Operations) and external contractors (e.g., mastering engineers, designers) to execute project tasks.

  • Balance workloads across the team, ensuring efficient resource allocation.

Financial Management:

  • Monitor project budgets, including service fees, recoupment models, and milestone-based payments.

  • Provide transparent cost breakdowns to artists and stakeholders.

Quality Assurance:

  • Conduct regular quality checks at each stage of production to ensure alignment with Poolroof’s high standards.

  • Address any challenges, such as creative differences or technical issues, with proactive solutions.

Post-Release Activities:

  • Collaborate with Marketing to plan and execute promotional strategies, such as social media campaigns, live events, and community engagement.

  • Review and analyze project performance metrics to improve future initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:

    • 3–5 years in project management, preferably in the music industry or a creative field.

    • Experience managing end-to-end projects involving multiple stakeholders.

  • Skills:

    • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.

    • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating with artists and teams.

    • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Trello, Asana) and music-specific tools.

    • Familiarity with financial tracking and budget management.

  • Knowledge:

    • Understanding of independent music distribution, copyright law, and the creative production process.

    • Awareness of current trends in the music industry.
